Helen attended The Ohio State University before getting her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Cincinnati. She is most comfortable working with adolescent and adult aged clients, but is also interested and willing to see children. She has had a lot of experience working with substance abuse, including co-leading group therapy revolving around maintaining sobriety. Helen also has a strong passion for working with and studying eating disorders. Helen’s work is guided primary from a Person-Centered approach to counseling that involves nonjudgmental acceptance, genuineness, and empathetic understanding. Using this approach, Helen hopes to allow you to speak freely and openly in a counseling setting, while also providing the professional insight that will help you to achieve your treatment goals.
