Understanding Your ADHD Assessment Costs
We are here to guide you through the ADHD assessment process, which include a series of four sessions held at our Hilliard office, from Monday to Friday. Four sessions are required.
Here’s a breakdown of the sessions and payment structure:
Initial Session (Must be In-Person, Morning Hours) : For this session, it is necessary to come to our Hilliard office. This is the first step of your assessment and is billed as a Diagnostic Assessment. (Usual insurance coverage for that service)
Second Session : This session is billed as Counseling. (Usual insurance coverage for that service)
Third Session (Must be In-Person, Morning Hours): This is a Psychological Testing Session that also must be done at our Hilliard office. Psychological Testing plus the Report will cost $400 out-of-pocket. (Medicaid does provide coverage)
Final Session: We will discuss your assessment results and next steps. This session is billed as Counseling. (Usual insurance coverage for that service)
Psychological testing, scoring, and report writing, are not billed to insurance and amount to a total cost of $400, to be paid by you at the third session. (Medicaid does provide coverage and there will be no cost to clients who are on a Medicaid plan)
Eligibility and Scheduling:
- These assessments are suitable for anyone aged five (if already in Kindergarten) and above
- Your usual mental health insurance coverage for Diagnostic Assessment and Counseling applies to the first, second and last session.
- You will be expected to pay $400 at the third session (unless you have Medicaid coverage).
- Medicaid coverage applies to all four sessions
- Our current clients, those who reside nearby, or are referred by local physicians will be prioritized on the waitlist.
Please be prepared to manage these costs as part of your assessment. Should you have any questions or need further clarification on the payment process, do not hesitate to reach out.
